Street food Chinese Skewers! And if you didn't know, Pengyao means 'friend' in Chinese. I came here with my family and they are now my pengyao which sounds kind of like a downgrade, but hey, it's still a fun time with having some pengyaos with you at Friendship BBQ! I was impressed how busy this place was. Skewers were all pretty solid. We had the pork belly, tofu, gizzards, cow hearts, tofu skin vegetable wrap thing, and some other ones I don't recall. The gizzards were my favorite. The heating grill did not really do much to be honest. The skewers are cooked in the kitchen and brought out after placing the orders via their tablet. We also got a few vegetable sides such morning glories and grilled Chinese egg plant. There chili oil hot pot items were quite good as well. Service is quite helpful (especially if you know Mandarin) and the food came out at a reasonable time. So overall, a pretty solid experience to enjoy with your penyaos and family which are your pengyaos if you come here.

Stopped by after ice skating in the kraken arena. We were seated immediately and the place had a nice vibe to it. It felt homey and warm. We ordered the skewer combo and the skewers were good and flavorful. The vegetable skewer had a strong numbing flavor to it and so did the egg drop soup, which is not my preferred, but some people may love it. The pancake was the fluffiest I've seen it, I do prefer crispy but my friend enjoyed the fluffiness. All the food taste kind of blended together and nothing was distinct but overall a great experience and would come again!

Alright this place deadass puts Chinese bbq spots in Vancouver BC to shame. The service comes faster than your barber trying to get you out after you get in 15 mins late. The assortments of meats that they have available rival that of a butcher shop from spine to tripe to heart and everything in between. All things that my mom never gave me growing up. Everything is spiced with cumin at least so don't be afraid to venture out haole bois and girls. Bulk approved and come hungry cause everything slaps!

This is one of my go-to spot whenever I crave Chinese BBQ skewers. Chinese BBQ skewers are a popular street food in China, and here has an incredible selection of options of meat, vegetables, and seafood. The skewers are grilled to perfection, bursting with flavor from the seasonings on top, and it's perfect to enjoy with soda or beer. For the meat skewers, my favorites are the Xinjiang lamb skewers, Mongolian beef skewers, pork belly, chicken wings, and mini sausages. Each skewer is loaded with flavor, especially with the optional toppings salt, cumin, and chili powder, highly recommend adding it for an extra kick! Another my favorite s the grilled garlic oysters! They're grilled to perfection with the special garlic sauce that reminds me of what I had in China, so flavorful and delicious! If you're in the mood for something different, they also offer small hot pots. I love the spicy fish pot, which has tender fish filets in a rich, flavorful broth. The tofu foil pot is another favorite, with fried tofu and enoki mushrooms simmering in a boiling foil pot, the boiling broth adds so much depth to the flavors! Great service and super quick with the food! The interior is adorable, and I'll definitely be back soon!

Solid 4 star with potential for 4.5 star. We decided to try this place and splurge a little since it was a celebration for us. We came right at noon and was the only one there, but eventually 2-3 groups came after. Ordering was pretty straightforward, it's on a tablet and you just choose what you want. We ended up ordering the hot pot skewers, the combo #2 and the Korean style squid. There was a promotion that if you spend a certain amount, you get a free cold dish which we got the shrimp in sauce. Hot pot skewers --- this is for people who likes variety. There was veggies seafood, meat, eggs etc and came in an interesting pot. Numbing spice was good and it also came with a peanut sauce for you to dip. I wish tr distribution was a little more even though, there was 5 skewers of tripe while others was 1 or 2. Combo #2: this came with beef, chicken and enoki skewers and a bowl of noodles soup. Again, the distribution of skewers could be more even. 3 chicken skewers 3 beef skewers and 1 enoki one. Te chicken was probably my favorite. The beef was small and enoki was good but there was only 1 skewers. The noodles soup was really good. Big portion with a good variety of toppings. Korean style squid - our favorite dish. At first it looks small for the price but it was a lot. The flavors was really good and they cooked it perfectly, not overly done or anything. Our free dish was also really good. The shrimp was plump and meaty, usually it would be $15 and for how big it is, it's a good price. We also got complimentary yogurt drinks at the end. Service was pretty good as well. The food came out pretty quickly. The server filled our water frequently and they did a really good job packaging our leftovers. Overall, a fun adventurous place to try and I would come back

My friend and I came on a Saturday at noon, and we were seated right away! We ordered few skewers, and my favorite one is definitely the xinjiang special lamb skewer. It was seasoned well and super tender. The chicken wings were tasty too. The beef and the tofu skin ones were so so. The cucumber salad is great to add some refreshing tastes in between the skewers. The restaurant is clean, and the service was good. They came to refill water a few times. Would go back!

All's I gotta say is WoOW! This food is INCREDIBLE! They brought out 5 spice boiled peanuts to start, which were great! Not too hard for pops to eat. We got Combo B - skewers of shrimp, beef, pork belly wrapped around enoki mushrooms, squid & chicken wings. Everything was delicious! Also came with fried noodles, garlic bok choy & garlic eggplant. Everything was delicious. We added on soy sauce fried rice & a "foil quail egg" - fish balls, quail eggs & enoki mushrooms over flame. Man, I'm a fanboy for enoki mushrooms - so this was so good for me! Add in Mexican cokes FTW! I've never heard of anyone talking about this place, but it's definitely one of Shoreline's finest! They brought out Kalipco with the check!!

I would recommend to bring more friends with you, so you can try different types of skewers and it will be cheaper. We had 4 people and we ordered quite a lot of food and drinks, but of course it's a perfect portion for all of us. All the skewers were very flavorful and cooked perfectly. Beside the potato chips skewers, that one was okay, it felt like undercooked or too soggy. It just not as good. The grilled eggplant had so much garlic on it, it made the whole dish a little bit too spicy. i personally recommend the beef with fat and lamb with fat, those were so good and flavorful. They also gave us a cucumber salad for free. We will definitely come back for more.
